Another resonator install

Just finished the resonator install of the 5050XL. Learned some important information from Sven and Chris. From Chris, that the elbow that comes out of the turbo can be clocked differently, and from Sven, not all 90's and 45's are the same. Sven had a link to exhaust hardware that had I had when I started would have made it mush easier. I had to cut material off both the 90 and the 45 to get the 5050XL to fit. The 5050 would have been much easier but I don't know how much louder. Hanging brackets are the easiest as the original worked for the rear and the stud for the original muffler was straight above the elbow, and a simple strap can be made to drop down from it. I loosened the band clamp in the last photo and clocked the elbow out of the turbo upwards to get clearance.

First time I've seen someone remove the fiberglass for this job; makes it really easy to see what you did.

I wanted to take the condenser and dryer out and check them for restrictions at the same time was the plus for removing the fender.

I may do the resonator thing at some point, but for the moment I'm liking the straight pipe thing ( our Foretravel hot rod ) 😜😜

Yours would be an easy install. No air cleaner or A/C condenser in the way.

Took mine for a short road test yesterday the resonator sounds deep, I personally like the sound-reminds me of one of my tractors.

It would be nice to find a way to hinge the entire fender on both sides.
I'm also interested in the sound difference between the XL resonator, the small resonator, and NO resonator.
