Enlarge Cup Holders

What sort of solution have folks come up for making the cup holders suitable for the larger insulated cups from RTIC or Yetie?

Thanks

They are out there. Look around at the auto parts stores.
Unfortunately I can't remember where I got ours. Our adapters hold the three cup capacity insulated containers with handles.
Because the adapters are a snug fit with the coffee cup I glued them into the existing holder with (what else?)---SHOE GOO!!
Just a little dab will do ya. I put a dab where I could peel it off so I could remove the adapter without damaging anything. Accidental spills happen so I wanted to be able to take the adapter out and clean up my mess.

I've used velcro on the bottom of cups and cup holders to keep it in place.

Thanks folivier, will the cups also sit on a counter top with the Velcro on them?

My cupholders are inside a drawer at the console. I routered out the useless bottom of the cup area.....what a mess.....dust EVERYWHERE!!!  Now I can insert our insulated cups easily. I just have to figure out how to keep the drawer from sliding to and fro when I start/slowdown!!!!

We had the same problem with our cup holders.  Stump's link will work well for the driver's side cup holder, but not so well in the dash cup holders or the passenger side cup holder since they are wider and shallower.

Here is what we did: THIS IS A GREAT THREAD ABOUT CUP HOLDER SOLUTIONS

In close to 50,000 miles, we haven't had one issue with the muslin pad and cup holder wanting to lurch forward or fall out of the cup holder space.  If you still have your worries, some velcro in the cup holder space attached to the muslin, and then add more velcro to the top of the muslin pad and attach it to the Octopus cup holder.  Then for sure it wouldn't go anywhere.

That sounds like a great idea, but I will have to go get a bigger hole saw  ^.^d

Our cup holders were big enough in diameter but far too shallow.  My DIY solution was to make them deeper by modifying a 3" PVC pipe couplings (~3-1/2" ID) to make it fit snugly and to the bottom of the existing cup holders.  Sanded and painted them.  Sketch shows the idea.  One of them gets used for pens, flashlight, shoehorn, and other small items.

Thanks Rick, that picture just gave me an idea.  I am working on a TT this week that is parked where they had a big ice storm this winter and there are a lot of downed oak branches up to 2' in diameter and I have a wood lathe, I can grab some chunks and make my own.  ^.^d
