LP fuel burn rates?

Did the search , any incite on fuel burn rates for the 6K gen set and the heater would help .
 I have the 300# tank , how long will it last  @ 40 degrees  ?

Hard to quantify, since temp/usage is different for everyone. We have a aux tank so as to keep the big tank topped up should we need the gen set in a power outage, plus it saves moving the coach!  In January (temps 49 low/75 high) we used 4.5 gallons in 10 days. This included the furnaces, cooking, dishes, showers. In April, as it heated up, (temps low 58/90 high), we used about the same, only the bottle lasted 20 days. The gen set will not run on the bottle, so I have no rates on it. Best you could do is install a bottle, keep track of days used before fill-up, and , with a full main tank, run the gen for a hour and re-fill to get usage. It's the furnaces & gen that eat propane! Hope this helps.

  I'll second that figure. 
  Running both roof airs, the refrigerator and not much else going down the road and I was safe to figgure 1gal/hr.

58 gallons at 80% auto shutoff.  Gallon an hour gen run use on a 6k propane conversion Onan flathead motor gen.  The 3600 rpm rare Honda ran 1/2 the propane use as its overhead valve design was more efficient.

On our 84 Foretravel It would use a gallon an hour with the generator running. It held 45 gallons, so after running 40 hours would need to buy propane again. The dash air did not work good enough to keep it cool so when it got unplugged from the power pole the generator got started and ran until plugged back in. Not sure how much the furnace will use.

I will echo what others have said, after cutting the dash a/c belt off to get 1400 miles home. Genset is a P.I.G. hog. At 40 degrees ambient your only looking at about 1500-1800 watts to be comfortable while stationary, water heater usage would be the biggest consumer maybe. Without the genset your may well go months without a refill on the propane.

As red tractor will remember a lot of early ftx's had a curtain across the coach behind the drivers and passenger seats to close off the dash area so the dash air would cool enough versus run the gen on either gas or propane
