Oregon Scale

This might be of interest for those of you who haven't traveled in Oregon. They leave their highway scale sites open and operational so you can just pull in and weigh front and rear axles as well as your toad. They are really accurate as I've compared our weight on them to the weight we got at the Livingston site and they were very close. They are also more sensitive than you might imagine. I stood on the scale with our dog and the weight displayed looked to be right on. Anyhow, Oregon sure provides a nice service with these scales and they are a nice place to walk the dog too.

Those scales are fantastic!

When we lived in Oregon we used those scales a lot.  At the time they would display weights in 5 lb increments.

The ones we used were split scales so you can weigh front and rear axles.  Not sure if that is still the case.

The ones I've used didn't have split scales but you can put both wheels on the scale to get axle weight then swing around to make another trip thru and only put the passenger wheel on the scale. Subtract the passenger wheel from the axle total for the drivers wheel. Do for each axle and don't forget the toad!

The scales in WA are similar, you have to turn the coach around to get side-to-side measurements. Sundays are best.
