Supplementary Heat Source

When plugged in we've started using a Dyson heater fan deal instead of the heat strips or furnace (270 has only one). It's a sweet setup. Whisper quiet and does a great job. It's very light and doesn't retain any heat to speak of so you can just unplug it and throw it in the closet. Of course, without 120v available, it's a decoration.

We use the same Dyson for about 4 years now- great unless it gets real cold, 30's and less, then we use an oil filled radiator and the furnace as backup.  Best thing is not to be where it gets that cold, but this winter has been crazy all over the country.

That is a cool looking unit! We use the liquid-filled radiators, bow and stern, but they are bulky, tho quiet as all get out. Does that use liquid or a heating element? What model do you have? Looks like a 1/2 CB or so. Hmm.  :-\

I carry two of the liquid filled radiators and they're awesome.  They kept us real warm in a 41' SOB in the low 30's.

Mike, I don't see a model number on it. It was less than $300 from Dyson. It's a hot and cool unit.
