1999 U320

Looking at acquiring a late 90's U320.

There are two on the market now within my price range, but they seem very different (length, generator, etc).
Does anyone on the forum have experience with either, or know of them from an inspection standpoint?  My only experience in RV'ing is lots of time in travel trailers in my childhood, and I would like to share the basic experience with my son - albeit, without the tow vehicle!  Have read lots of knowledge over the last few hours in these forums...enough to get me concerned I don't know enough to make a good purchase decision currently.  Lots of things to inspect, that I don't know how to inspect...

Thanks!

If the one in Florida does not have any bad issues it will be gone soon.

Think the 42 footer did a lot of dry camping, 4400 hours on a newer generator?

I think they meant that the generator power head was replaced recently but the diesel Cat motor is original?

A whole hew 12.5 K was installed. The enclosed generators were not used on the '99's. Maybe a used one was installed. The ad only says it is the newer style.

Does anyone know of an expert I can engage to help with an inspection?  Even with the guides posted here, I don't feel qualified to inspect many of the components myself.  Planning to go look at it this week, and the location is Cocoa/Merritt Island area of Florida.

I think I would see if red tractor, a very knowledgeable/experienced member of this forum would be interested:

Maybe Paul Yasbeck, a very well thought of Foretravel tech.

Forum member Brett Wolfe is awesome and is in TX. He inspected my coach at MOT. That white MOT coach has been listed for a while. He may have inspected already.

Edited: I was referring Brett for the coach at MOT.

IMHO any coach owned by a serious forum member is worth a hard look.  Really EZ to spend 50-100% of the askin* price of the original 2 coaches to make them even close to the Forum listings. Unless you want a DIY project and plan only occasional short distance use.

I can attest that Richard and Susan's coach on Roger's second link is awesome. I've been in that coach. They spared no expense taking care of that coach.
