We've had Coleman, Dometic and now Carrier. They've all turned on, NOW. Ours have no fancy devices, so worth checking out.
As far as the inside temp: if you let the coach get THAT warm before hitting the air, it will take a long while! We have a wireless weather station: when the outside temp hits 95, on goes the stern AC. It takes two hours, on full, to get the coach to where it's liveable, that is, twenty degrees difference between inside and out. Foretravels are well insulated, but twenty/difference is about it.
We've never needed (even in 114 temps) to use the front. Case-in-point: It's 104 outside right now, 80 inside after two hours of running.
