Front plastic chip guard on U270 is cracked and peeling

Hi Folks.
I need to know how to remove a cracked and peeling front plastic chip guard.  I know to apply heat to peel it off but removing the adhesive that remains on the paint is another issue.  I read somewhere that xylol can be used but I want to make sure that I use the right product and tools.  Has anyone done this?  I'd rather do the work myself if I can.
Thanks,
John

I would check with 3M.  Years ago I bought a Makita orbital polisher and 3M products to remove a vinyl stripe and glue from a fglass rv.

I used this when removing my adhesive.

3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner 08984: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

I used a steamer to remove the film.

I tried several products and Rapid Remover is the product I found by far the best.  It was easy to work with and very low odor.  Ended up using about a half gallon to remove the adhesive left from the 3M film.  Purchased the gallon from a local vinyl sign company for $52.00, I believe it is available on Amazon.

Also have found it to work great on sticky vinyl inside the coach.
