New monitor and camera

Now have original monitor,camera and audit system. All works except the camera is very poor picture. Would like to get new  color monitor and camera and have the audit system work with new monitor.  Can you hook new camera to audit and the audit to the monitor?

I have replaced my old camera and the dash monitor.  The new cam is just a round 12vdc color(daytime) b/w at night with leds.  Get one that has as many as you can find tvl(tv lines) and will fit in your old location.  It will have the same video connection, just connect it(quarter turn chrome connector) and then the 12vdc.  The monitor I got is the one on ebay

Ypou have to enlarge the dash hole for the monitor.  The monitor has a 2nd video input, just plug it in from the old audit system.  Disconnect the old tv brightness know and leave in place.  The other video input is for the new camera.  Use the old on/off switch and the switch the changes from camera and audit system.  Good upgrade.  I like it.

Our's was replaced in 2010, looks like the new monitor retro'd into the old dash spot:  Camera "Voyager' VCCS150....Monitor 'Totevision' 560R.    ^.^d

That monitor is many times the price of most of the Chinese monitors. It is a commercial quality marketed for commercial security systems.

I wanted both the quality (lines) and did not want that "added on" look-- it is built in to the OE location.

It looks like it was OE. Whatever it cost, it was WELL WORTH IT.  b^.^d

add-on: those pics are hand held, the images are really, sharp as a tack!
