Replacing my Pantograph Windshield Wiper Arms

I purchased two sets of double flat shaft pantograph windshield wiper arms to replace my ugly, rusting, weak-springed OEM arms. They arrived, and both were identical. When looking at my existing wiper arms, they are mirror images of each other.

It looks like I might be able to rotate the non-powered shaft around the top to the other side of the one that is driven by the motor. But, the spray nozzle would be pointed the wrong direction. I have not been able to find any instructions that delineates how to make that change.

Has anyone already done that and remember how they did it? I could use some help before I break these gorgeous non-rusty replacements.

Thank you very much for any assistance,

Stump,

Thanks for the link and details. Probably something that anyone with only one arm on each side should do; The J-hook style will make it a lot easier to replace wipers today.

In my case, I am replacing a 2-arm (pantograph) wiper assembly with a newer, stronger version.

Surely some of you have already done this. Delta does not have a left and right version, but one that is used on both sides. It looks like some finegalling has to be done to one of the pantograph assembly. I am just trying to find out how to hold my tongue while I finagle mine.

Where did you get you arms and which model??  I bought some heavy duty ones and wound up sending them back.  Needed to make a change to the post that required way too much work.  Ordered a new set from the original mfg..slightly upgraded and they work perfectly.

When I was shopping, I followed several links from this forum. Several of them were over $90 apiece. Amazon was $58.81 with free (Prime) shipping. I also looked at Zoro Tools, as they sometimes have 20% off sales. They were also $58.81 with free shipping (over $50), so I put them in my cart at Zoro. The next day I got a 20% off email and pulled the trigger. I used part number 200483N, which was frequently referenced on this forum. Here is what I bought:

    1. 2 x Wiper Arm, Wet Pantograph, Size 28 In, Metal Material, Application School Bus Or RV Dyna OEM -- Z#G3489841 (Mfr #200483N) @ $58.81

    2. 2 x Wiper Arm Adapter Plate, Type Wiper System Component, Pantograph Arm Type, 4 Size (In.), 2 Center to Center Length (In.), etal Material, Series Dyna ISO, For Use With RVs, Buses, Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks Windshield Wiper Arms, Application Construction, Agriculture, Marine, Includes Mounting Screws, Features Rubber Gasket -- Z#G6125835 (Mfr #200242) @ $19.99

    3. 1 x Wet Kit, Wiper Arm Replacement, Rubber Material, Application Heavy Duty, Includes One Nozzle, Six Hose Holders, One Bolt,  One Locknut, and 3.94 Feet End Rubber Hose -- Z@G2856673 (Mfr #200242) @ $14.99

    After 20% discount, total = $137.67

All of the nuts and bolts seemed to be there, and a much better rubber hose mounting method. It was so complete. that I will probably wind up returning the wet kit.

Now, if someone can tell me the installation secret, I will be good to go, with my 26" Latitude wiper blades.
