Reducing engine compartment heating

Last year I put a turbo blanket and exhaust wrap to reduce my engine compartment heat. Later last year we drove it on a round trip to Soldotna Alaska. 8200 miles. It did help with the heat. We would stop after a full day and the bed room would be fine. The insulation was degrading after the previous years trip to Alaska. This is helping to keep the engine compartment cooler. Not sure, but think the performance is a bit better.

Clean looking engine, would consider at some point getting the better coolant hose clamps.

Looks good. What is the white vertical cylinder on the right side of the photo? Engine pre-oiler? Adding the backerboard over R-19 keeps the bed and bedroom temps down on ours. The turbo wrap is on the list!
