Entry Key Pad Programming

Foreforum members,

I am trying to reprogram the entry code on the access keypad on our 2006 Phenix.

I push the small button that is located next to the passenger seat heating & a/c controls
but do not get any of the beeps as described in the owners manual.  Per the wiring diagram,
there is a 'valet' switch located on the dash but I have not been able to find it (thinking that
this might be the problem).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
