Wineguard g3 model 9400

Would appreciate comments regarding installation location. Would prefer attachment toward back by the roof ladder but not attached to it like I have seen. There is a antena base there but I am not sure of its function or if it would be functional with the wineguard. Thanks in advance.

If it's anything like mine the rear hooks to the bedroom radio.

Not sure how you are going to run everything from the radio ant?
All my sat install's on GV's was to the rear. I came down into the closet,setting the receiver on the shelf. 120 volts available close by. The cables are in the bottom of the cabinet (underneath at the floor), so distribution is easy via coax. I always used a receiver with a UHF remote.
I probably installed 30 this way.
If your remote is not UHF, used this, they work awesome:
