Kodiak Inergytek solar generator/battery bank

Hey.. it appears these smallish solar paneled powered battery banks are preferred by " Preppers"... off the grid in terrorism disasters...

But our 30amp 86 GV has just a few DC powered appliances... Microwave ( optional), propane powered stove/oven, refrigerator and furnace with some power needed for ignite, fan and other water pump needs.

Is this 1100 watt unit useable in an RV platform... this unit comes with a 30amp plug that would be used into the Shore Power receptacle ... specs quote 2.5 hours fully recharge and can add additional battery banks..

I got attracted to a similar unit at Costco, a
Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Lithium Portable Power Station.  After sizing out my needs, I decided this would not work for me. I installed myself, a solar system of my own design, with the help of others including this forum and AM Solar in Eugene, Oregon.

Plenty to research on this forum search engine and others.  I'm still researching a posible upgrade and I'm yet to use all I installed last year.  Since what your looking at is not a necessity, I would hold off, till I researched my power needs, budget, and posibilities.

I found this article interesting pairing a xantrex
C2000 $775 inverter/ charger with solar and 200 amp Battle Born lithium batteries from a reputable  company that many FT forum members have used.

PROS:
All-in-one unit. I wouldn't mind having one to back up my sump pump.

CONS:
Deceptive marketing hype, a little:
- Our rigs need 10x more battery capacity. We must have at least 10KWh of house batteries to run our rig's inverter and power our rig's house needs for a day or two.

- Overtly concealed solar power requirements.

- It's expensive for only 1KWh.

Call me at 4849990060 to hear how I really feel.  :)

PS: - Sunpower solar panels are much better than those cheap Chinese-based panels. We need as many solar panels as we can attach to our rigs.

Thats the kinda thing kids are buying these days. Super pricey and basically no more useful than a car battery and an inverter. Will not run anything on an rv for any length of time.  For that kind of money you can mount a couple panels on your roof and be much better off than a "generator" that doesn't actually generate anything.
