Transmission won't go in gear

Would anybody know why I can't get my coach to goin gear. I'm trying to get it in for service to have the slide worked on. The slide is partially out presently. I know the contact switch is not showing contact. I have gone in the bay and override the travel mode. The air tanks are at 150# front and rear.
On the control pad inside when I press travel mode it blinks about 6 times and goes out. On the dash I have a level system light on. When I engage the transmission  the coach will not move.
I have a callin to Mot and Triano. Waiting for them to call back.

I don't have a slide, but from reading other posts, there is probably a slide switch or maybe 2 that must be closed before the transmission will go in gear.  Doubt if it is safe to drive with the slide not fully retracted, also probably illegal as you would be too wide.  Sorry you are having the problem, maybe someone else can help.

Depending on how familiar you are with your system you should be able to open up the nuts on the solenoid valves and push the slide in , then  you should be able to set the locks  I don't believe the override switch will allow the motorhome to go in Gear with the slide extended slightly  I currently own a 2002 with the train system

Here's a trick that I haven't heard before. I was able to get it in gear and move it for service.
Apparently the override switch is bad and needs to be replaced but..... in the meantime
 1. With the engine running .
 2. Press and hold down the HWH reset switch on the control panel next to the seat.
 3. While holding the switch select the transmission into gear.

This got me to the service center. After letting it sit for a few mins with the engine off. It wouldn't go into gear again. I repeated the procedure and was able to move it.
This trick was provided by the excellent people at MOT. Also the diagnosis of the travel override was made by Mr Triano at Foretravel.

Another cause of not going into gear is too high an engine idle speed.  The Allison shift pad will just blink.

When my slide wouldn't quite go all the way in a few years ago, I turned the override switch and drone 400 miles to home and a repair shop. It should work.

Thanks for the responses

Jerry, you are correct with the switches not being made. The slide was out about 2 inches but I had it blocked it so it wouldn't move either way.

John, i did that previously but couldn't get the pins to lock. I had to use the override. This time the override didn't work.

Brett, Thanks for providing to my list of what to check for. Would you happen to know what the limit is for the high  idle RPM?

Chuck, thanks for the correction, I definitely don't want to disrespect Mr Triana. He has been very helpful through my process.

Tom, I wish it would of been that easy.

I should not of started this thread, as I had one opened earlier ( Slide Locking Pins ) this is a continuation of my saga.
