Re: Safe T Plus Reply #25 – January 07, 2019, 08:21:45 am Followed the link to Safe T site. They are going to be in Quartzite and are taking appointments. Not sure if they install on site as well as Quartzite is so different than other shows. I made an appointment request and will post later. Quote Selected 1 Likes
Re: Safe T Plus Reply #26 – January 07, 2019, 09:03:40 am Spoke with the folks at Safety Plus. Redlands will be doing the installs at Quartzite. I am not familiar with them. They will have one of their techs on site to insure fit etc. Quote Selected
Re: Safe T Plus Reply #27 – January 07, 2019, 12:04:19 pm I put a Safe-T-Plus on my Safari and found it to be an easy project. If you do it, be sure to make the right adjustments so that you keep a "straight track". You will need a straight smooth road with little traffic.I also replaced all the steering and spring bushings at the same time, so I'm not sure which made the most difference in handling. Re: Safe T Plus Reply #29 – January 07, 2019, 01:45:54 pm Fairly easy install except some of the attaching bolts were to short and I had to purchase longer bolts. The driving adjustment was easy. Quote Selected 1 Likes
Re: Safe T Plus Reply #30 – January 07, 2019, 07:54:47 pm Quote from: Ktytravel – January 06, 2019, 11:57:55 amI had a heck of a time driving home after I picked up my rig (1200 miles). Never drove a Class A in my life so just chalked it up to being a green horn. Now I've been reading about Safe-t-Plus and really want to get this installed. I know I won't be able to install this myself so what would be your guess on labor costs? Once march comes around, I'm taking "Woody" in for wheel and tire balancing and to check out the alternator/charging issue so I can figure out if this labor cost will be affordable. I was white knuckled all the way home since my schedule was always on the truck drivers schedule so I was blown around alot Kathie the ORED drive best with the water tank nearly full. Also weigh your front and rear axles. My g rated tires only need 80 psi for the axle load, mine were pumped up to 100 when I got it. Psi chart for your tires can be found at manf website. Drove much better the second day, even with new Mexico crosswinds it tracked well. Quote Selected
