2 pressure gauges under coach

Good morning everyone,
I was underneath a coach yesterday and noticed that there are 2 air pressure gauges in the front. 1 is located closer to the forward tank, and the 2nd one located closer to the entry steps.
both read about 60
what are they for ?  why are they located under the coach?
thanks

The gauge behind the entry steps is for pressure on the ram that closes the floor over the steps, you can adjust the speed/ force that the floor closes at. If you floor closes fast and ends with a thump less pressure will eliminate that. The adjuster is beside the gauge.
Being a "newbie" to this I am like you and will now wait for an answer to the second gauge and will have to go looking for my second gauge!

Depending on the coach you have can have 3 regulators and gauges.
1. One for the step well cover (Irish covered this)
2. One for the outside step (same reason as #1)
3. One for the front air bags. This one is to keep the front end from rising faster than the rear when the system is attaining ride height. With the weight of the engine the rear will lag behind the front in a lot of cases even with the regulator.

All 3 of these regulators are prime areas to check for air leaks.

A WAG (my top 3) as to why they are located there,
1. This is the shortest distance between 2 points.
2.Once set they shouldn't need adjustment
3. This location will keep some owners form continually tinkering with them.

I believe there are actually two adjustments you can make on the step and floor cover.  The pressure adjusts how hard they move and there is a screw/nut on the end of the norgren valve that adjust how fast.
