What is it?

While working on my water system I found this wrench behind the manifold panel.  What is it?

John,  This tool is used to trip the latch on a tow hitch from motorhome to car that is under some load.  The release lets the hitch telescope in to allow the hitch to be released from the car.

Used to need one on my old hitch but new Blue Ox has a differnt release that works even under a load.

Yup, a special tool only for old-style tow bars-- the ones with BUTTONS to release tension.
