Everpure Filter

Everpure Filter

Having been all over the many Everpure filter discussions on the Forum I am still unsure.
I need to get a filter for the Everpure in my 99 U270, there is no filter in the holder and no info in the manual, it is the older style mount with the lever on top and the ring the screws down on to the cartridge.
What is the cartridge number that I should be ordering?

Howdy David, This is what we use: Everpure ADC EV9592-06 RV and Marine Water Filter Replacement Cartridge

Probably a good idea to insure it fits your mounting.

Just received these yesterday. Should be the same filter that you have David! I have the lever on top and the locking ring as well once the filter is installed. 2 for $90

We ordered one of these, EverPure EV9592-06 ADC Quick Change Replacement Filter Cartridge from a seller on eBay.

I was saved from trying to use the filter that was in place by my ignorance. I didn't know that the on-off valve is also the locking lever for the clamp ring.

This, as these things tend to do, led to a desire to replace the entire assembly and start from new. That is never a simple thing with two engineers in the house, with the solution growing to a complete reverse osmosis design with "brine" being returned to either the drain or fresh water tank depending on the water source.

So, three days later, after much research, I ordered the filter listed above.

P.S. The -06 in the part number in case you missed it refers to a six-pack of filters.

We found that the new filters have slightly different tolerances and leaked in our old mount. We ended up buying two new mounts, one for the RV and the other for the house. We move the filter from one to the other whenever we head out or return from a trip. We don't want the filter to sit for months without being used. This has worked well, considering how expensive the filters are.

We're experincing the same issue, removed the "new" leaky filter and put the plug in. Started researching filter systems to mount in the wet bay and filter before entering the coach.

When I change mine I take the housing out from under the sink, change filters and reinstall. Never had a leak.

The housing if it is like mine, the mounting holes are slotted so you don't need to take the screws completely out. Real easy.

I had this thought when I removed the previous filter, so I wan't be upset if I need to order another head unit. The water here isn't bad enough to deal with the fuss of a Brita pitcher, placing the built in filter back in service is a great I've given myself for cleaning out the old coach.

What am I going to do to celebrate when the old coach is finally gone? Leveling jacks!

All Everpure filters can leak, even with the new style mount. Some leak, some don't. We eliminate all leak issues by wrapping Teflon tape around the larger o-ring. We also add a little more plumber's silicone grease on o-rings. We have the new style mount.

My new filter arrived today, and yes a little silicone grease helped with the tightly fitted o-rings. And I can see why the design was changed, the locking ring is a bit fiddly to get everything lined up. But no leaks and filtered tap water.
