El Paso truck smack

Brad asked me to post this picture of his El Paso truck damage. He is wondering if this bent exhaust would cause any restriction to be concerned with?

This is what happened when my truck looked like it was going to pass me . The cables kept the truck from coming any further . A scary thing to see in your side mirror . On the truck , left front fender , and light group is what got nailed . Over all I feel like I dodged a bullet in a way . If those cables would not have done their job---yep it would have been a big mess for sure----new truck---new Can Am--new law suits hmmmm-- it might have even come back and bit Foretravel on the behind as well .                                      ???  Brad Metzger

I'll take care of this when I replace my air dryer, but for the time being I don't detect any problems.

No. Wont hamper the exhaust enough to worry. A couple of hammers could open it up a little.

Exhaust restriction will cause higher EGTs and possibly reduced full power production. At what I can see I would drive home without any concern about the restriction. Might have to slow down 3 mph to offset restriction. I'd be more concerned that your hitch will fail again. Wish we could see the hitch damage before it was repaired so we could understand why it failed. Still in the back of my mind. Watch your Egt, you'll be fine.
