Just replaced the 3 kitchen counter ceiling puck lights with these:

Super easy to install.  Fits in existing hole.  Just need to cut off old lights and crimp on new ones and pop them into hole.

Seems to be nearly as bright as former halogen lights.

Much better solution than trying to replace bulb.  I know, I've tried several.

And they only cost $10 each.

Here is another choice that we used.

Glass lens, a bit less depth, warm white temps (3000° K), fits easliy in the hole.
We have dimmers on most, usually not on full blast especially in the evenings.  No heat sinks needed.  Way less heat than the halogen bulbs. We used the 4.5" ones over the kitchen sink (2) and over the dining table.

The Facon lights are 1" deep which in under counter locations means you need to raise the inside cabinet floor for them to fit.  The ITC lights need this too but less.

The Facon lights are higher lumens for less watts, this only makes sense if they are higher Kelvin temps, more blue white light or the actual lumens is less or power consumed is more.

The 10 watt halogen bulbs in the OEM fixtures are 120 lumens each.

I tried the ones Roger mentioned and they are indeed too thick.  I also did not want to raise all my cabinet bottoms to accommodate them.  So back they went.

I used these in my last Winnebago renovations and they work great.  They are just slightly smaller in diameter so there is a very slight shadow line around them from the old ones but you only see it if you lay on your back, on the floor and don't have the lights on and the light from outside is just right... so it does not bother me.

The biggest issue was the maddeningly short leads that FT put on the OEM lights.  Other than that, cut them, wire nut them and spring them into place.  It says 2.4" hole but they fit the +/- 2.25" OEM hole just fine.  And they are only about $8.00 a piece.

When we decided to replace our under the cabinet lights, this product is what we went with.  Very happy with the results!  Fit was perfect, easy hook up and almost no heat from these as well.  Price was good as well!
