AS9448 Contitech Air Bag

Has anyone actually gotten these bags and tried them,looking for opinions compared to the stock Firestone bag?

I got Contitechs installed in Nacogdoches but mine are 99-12. They work fine although I've only got a couple thousand miles on them.

Installed them myself. They fit good, work awesome. Important issue when you are looking for optional air bags.Make sure they inflate to the proper length. These do
They do have plastic bases instead of metal. But I like it better, no future corrosion

I am going to bring this back up again. Has anyone had a bad experience with the "Contitech" air bags? They are half the price of the "Firestone" and appear to be well made. Looking for opinions on this subject

I'm in Bonita Springs with 8 new Contitech AS9448 on our FT. I installed them myself and they seem to be comparable
to the Firestones..........actually a bit better ride.

You're welcome to come and look at them if you want to.

Put 8 on my U320 within the last 4 months. 2000 miles, no issues so far. At $88 through find-it parts, you can't beat them. No noticeable difference in ride for me compared to the old Firestones.

The amount of air in the bags dictates the ride assuming the airbags are the same size. Don't think the bag construction has much to do with it. The bags flex really easily.

Continental is a huge company, perhaps not quite as big as Bridgestone (Firestone) and has made quality products for a very long time. I expect their airbags to the same quality. Betting most European trucks/buses have Continental bags.

We also had them installed last October. No problems and seem to hold the air well.

Yes, My coach too last summer. No problems with the Contitech bags.
