Aqua Hot and goldielocks weather

When we were camped at Mt. Adams the last 4 days. I noticed that the coach would get rather hot inside. The weather was not warm enough for AC nor was it cold enough for AH heat. The AH was on only to provide hot water. The thermostat was off. Yet it got hot enough in the coach to have to use the AC to be comfy in the evening and bedtime.

So when the weather is at the Goldilocks point. Does everyone just turn on the AH prior to showering or doing dishes? Even this seems like it would throw a lot of heat into the cabin as that AH tank stays hot for quite some time.

During most of the year it is electric only for just a few hours a day, maybe three or four.  Works for us.

The aqua hot is below an insulated floor I doubt the aqua hot is heating the coach. M

Since we are never on a pedestal, the AH is on diesel all the time. The tile floor over the AH tank is not hot. There is air space above the AH box and the box is insulated. Look for other causes if you are getting much over ambient temp. inside.

Insta hot dispenser on?

Basement thermostat on?  If the bathroom thermostat is on but not blowing and the basement thermostat is set high enough the aqua hot will heat the tank area as zone 2  runs off either thermostat.  The blower only is controlled by the bathroom thermostat.

Turn off the bath thermostat or turn down the basement thermostat

The floor above the AH has always been warm. But we have always (not on purpose) camped when it's hot enough for AC or cool enough to want heat. The main bay is always hot as well. But all thermostats are off. To include the water bay and bath. The AH was rebuilt 3 years ago. But it was the same warm floor, Kitchen drawers and bay before the rebuild.

Our diesel and elec switch was on, But the diesel burner never fired up.

Does your coach have heated floors?  Heat gun the area?

Nope. The floor is warm only in the area of the AH. Which in our coach is the area right in front of the stack of 4 kitchen drawers that sit over a heat exchanger. So about a two foot long area.

Is it possible you have your eng preheat switch on?

I guess what I'm wondering is that if anyone else has noticed this. And it's not been an issue until now. It's nothing I'm going to fret over nor worry about.
But I was just wondering what others are doing about the heat soak into the coach from gallons of 200+ degree coolant.

That heat has to dissipate somewhere. And as our AH is flanked on three sides by Batteries, fuel and propane tanks. It seems to be coming into the bay and up through the floor after it heats up all that fuel, batteries and propane tank.
