Samsung residential refrigerator not cooling completely

During our most recent trip our Samsung residential refrigerator (model #: RS22HDHPNBC) did not cool completely.  The appliance tech that came and looked at the unit found no error codes and determined that the unit appeared to have a coolant leak.  He suggested replacing the unit due to the difficulty of isolating where the leak was located.

The tech was experienced (in his 50's) having been doing appliance repair for his full career, first in TX and now in CO.

Any suggestions?

Did he pull the back panel off and check to see if the coils were iced over? That happened to the one I installed in my monaco. there was a heater element that I had to add a paper clip to the heater to fix it. There are no pressure ports to check pressure so I wonder how he determined it was losing Freon.

We had a thread a while back about the water drain hole freezing closed.  Don't know if this has any relation to your problem, but just tossing it out for general information to new Forum members.

We have never had a single problem with our Samsung.  It has been running 24/7 since installed Sept of 2014.  Knock wood!
