Coach Stuck In Travel Mode

Up until yesterday the HWH system worked flawlessly. Now I cannot get any responses to input at the touch pad.
All the lights seem to be working properly just no response.  I have tried the HWH RESET to no avail and I don't know where to go from there except to check the connector at the touch pad, but like I said the lights blink normally. The only thing I didn't try on the touch pad was DUMP because I'm afraid if that works I won't be able to get it back to ride height, and we're traveling .  Presently in a rest area on I-40 near Nashville.

Any help is appreciated

Check and see if the cable is plugged into the touch pad good. Had mine come loose. Also check the fuses in the control box in the basement.

The ride height fuse on mine was good but was not making contact due to some corrosion at the ends. Cleaning the fuse and the fuse holder got me going again when my ride height quit working.

If corrosion is an issue add a bit of dielectric grease to the contact points in the plugs and fuse to prevent it in the future.

While your in the control box checking fuses unplug and reconnect the cable that comes down from the touch pad just to confirm that connection.

Here is a copy of the service manual. It also contains a troubleshooting guide.  Look at Repair Steps Part 3.  Looks like your issue.

Ours did that at one point. The master relay was in and out. The touch pad power is independent of this relay so you would have the impression everything is working. It is a heavy constant rated relay.  Changed it out and everything works great!

I was having a problem with the key switches for the slides not responding once in awhile so I went trouble shooting. First I pulled the connectors apart to make sure there was good contact there. Next I went in the electronics bay and tested different wires connected to the master solenoid and found the exciter wire to be hot and the key switches having no affect.  The solenoid was somewhat hot to the touch so I disconnected it,  knowing I could hook it back up temporarily if I wanted to operate the slides, and I wouldn't be concerned about burning up the solenoid.

Red Tractor knew of my problem and helped me by saying that the wire has to be hooked up and that while the HWH brain is in the sleep mode there's no power there, but as soon as you touch a slide switch or the leveling touch pad the brain wakes up and provides it with 12 volts. And, after you're no longer using the HWH system it will go back into the sleep mode after 20 - 30 minutes elapses.

So I hooked the exciter wire back up and everything is fine
now.  Not sure if the key switches are still intermittent or not.

That's for a 600 series, T-man has a 2003 so for most accurate to his coach, he needs the 2000 series manual.

Just for reference also....

2002 U320 Train slide

I proactively took the living room valance apart to replace the Oring in the 2 metal hydralic housings in their.. had a leak at 1 point so I replaced them just to be safe with the right parts... somehow a wire (red) was smashed and shorted out.. not knowing at the time... put everything together and tried to bring the slide back in... it made noise like everything was working but it did not move... only thing I could not hear was the pressure building to make it move.. couldnt figure it out so I had to call someone... Happy Hals Rv repair came out.. Highly recomment them (think Pugmom mentioned before) ..

In the basement on the passenger side their is the brain with 3 motherboards stacked .. the bottom one had a 2amp fuse blown... Almost $400 for a new fuse and all was well.

Just in case someone finds this issue in here.. might help.

You might try a reboot. Take power off the computer for a few minutes then reconnect.
