Ceiling stains from water condensation near AC ducts.

We have a new to us 99 U295. There are some pale yellow stains straight out from the AC ducts that  the previous owner said were from condensation.  We'd like to have the carpets and the ozite ceiling cleaned professionally.  Is Stanley Steamer okay or would Chem Dry be better? Thanks!

The material is Ozite.  Tough stuff.  I used my rug doctors upholstery attachments on the ceiling with good results using their soap.

Zerores would be even better I think

Bob's Rug Doctor's attachement along with a shampoo vac will do the trick. Could pre-treat the worst part. We have to use a Bissell vac after each trip because of the dogs. The terrier is dirty and the wolf sheds all year but especially in Spring.

After you get the stains off at the AC vents you will see that the entire ceiling needs it.. Best if you have 2 people because overhead cleaning taxes arm and shoulder quickly. Arm gets tired hand off to helper back and forth.. couple hours and ceiling will be better.

Thanks everyone,

We have scheduled a steam cleaning company to do motorhome floor carpet, ceiling, dining chairs and a large area rug in our sticks and bricks home. Great combination price for all. Will let you know how it goes!

Most anyone that does carpet cleaning, can clean the ceiling.  I've always taken all vents down and anything that would be in their way.  Allways one of the first things I've done along with having carpet cleaned after getting a new to me rv.

Be careful not to brush the ceiling with a stiff bristle or it will fuzz up on you.. Material cleans up good but like I said earlier it's quicker if you have a partner to hand the vacuum off to so you can trade out and keep it running. Find myself wanting to get the hades thru with such chores.

It's great when you know "geez, I remember about a year or so ago, there was a post Rudy made about this relay".  And you can drill down to show just posts in the last 2 years by Rudy with the word relay in them.  I personally like to sort as "most recent first", rather than "most relevant", which is the default.  But that's because I'm usually searching for something from a specific timeframe.

Steve gave us a really powerful search engine...

I cleaned the stuff with hydrogen peroxide (straight) with a bissell machine from Lowe's . Some people have used the bissell with miracle mist but I did not want use use a product with bleach in it.  Steve

Try this stuff below.  it was recommended by someone on here and it works just great.  Spray on and the stain disappears.  Available at Ace, Walmart at a better price.  If using Amazon don't forget to use the affiliate link and help pay for all this:

Thanks for all of the replys! First we bought the Folex and tried it And it worked but left a white spot. As later planned, we had both the carpet and ceiling steam cleaned by a professional.  Worth it for sure.  All stains are gone from both and it smells so fresh. The previous owner had a lot of rubber backed rugs on top of the carpet which the carpet tech said turns the carpet underneath yellow.  Sometimes hard to get that out but ours came clean. Thanks again everyone!
