Desiccant for 12 volt compressor

My 12-volt compressor design bottle is empty as well as the one under the front wheels. So guess I need to put some desiccant in there. Anybody have a particular brand or kind that they like? Do you get the reusable kind that you can put in the oven or microwave to dry it out? Thanks Bob

Bob,

Chappell recommended this desiccant to me: 1 Quart Jug Replacement Desiccant Blue Indicating Silica Gel Bead (2 L – Dry...

I bought a one quart jug but they have larger.  They also carry the type that you can use again but I just got the blue one time use type.

Take care and safe travels,

Unless your coach has been modified it does not have a desiccant dryer.  Does it look like the one below?  That is a water separator.  What do you have "under the front wheels"?

Roger, they are  empty containers that I thought was supposed to have a desiccant powder in it.  One on the 12 volt compressor and this on in the front.  So they are supposed to be empty?

Not Roger but those are just water traps. In Rogers second picture shows the drier.

Yes, Bob those are supposed to be empty, no desiccant.  They are not driers, they are free flow water separators.  The one in the bay has a solenoid to purge condensed water when the pump shuts off, and the one up front has a manual drain.

Roger, they are  empty containers that I thought was supposed to have a desiccant powder in it.  One on the 12 volt compressor and this on in the front.  So they are supposed to be empty?
