Moving floor panel in front of passenger's seat

How does this panel work?  It doesn't respond to the switch behind the CB radio near the driver's right knee, but does choose seemingly random times to extend.  The only way to retract it is to manually pull it back.

Does it work with the switch by the passengers seat that is in the cup holder?

If not it sounds like the relay that operates the 2 switches is going bad. The relay is what tells the shuttle valve/Noreg air valve to move when the switch is activated.

Brett,
My 99 model has a switch by the door for passenger to operate slide.  I know for the switch by the driver to work the switch by the door has to be in a certain position.  Try changing positions with that switch to see if drivers switch will work then.

On the back side of the step there is a air switch that operates the step cover.  I was able to take it apart. Clean it up and it starting working again

Does anyone know where the relay (or fuse) for operating the sliding door is located and how to replace it? Mine on my 2000 Foretravel U320 was working fine and it just stopped working. Thanks.

It should be one of the self resetting breakers that is hid behind the kick panel that is on your right hand side as you come in the door. IIRC the breaker should be either #12 or #52 as one is for the step and the other is for the cover. If not these exact breakers then one close by. I am not at home base and this is from memory. If your problem is electrical or air related I would think your problem lies in the  Norgren (shuttle) valve  coil or wiring plug that operates the step cover. It could be trash in the air side causing the shuttle/piston not to move.

Now this is to make sure as to you do have air pressure up?

Brett mine was acting up --not responding-- I took air feed lines off valve and put a few drops of air oil in line for valve then took air lines to cylinder off the valve and put a few drops of air oil in these.  It was a little effort but they work great now.  a little oil goes a long way

FT solved my problem by replacing the air cylinder itself which was badly leaking.
