I did not have an issue but I modified mine using pieces from an "extend-a-stay", Marshall brass make a quality one, imports are cheaper and seem to have the potential to fail quickly.
Hope this helps

There is a newer style out now and you need to show a photo of what you have to just about any Propane dealer and they can get you one.  They most likely won't have it in stock.  I do believe I saw one on Amazon, if memory serves me.  I believe it is called a "post to appliance".  Is it leaking where the female inserts into the male?  There is a O ring in there that might be able to be replaced.  Never had one leak or apart, so please post on what you find, but the terminology is "Post to Appliance" or" Appliance to Post".  Personally, I would replace the fitting itself.  Propane is much to dangerous to fool with!

If that's the valve I'm thinking of, the "check valve" is a common schraeder valve stem. You will need the valve stem screwdriver to get it out probably. I replaced it on Glenn's system.

I'm almost finished with my morning coffee and you have me befuddled.  What check valve?  That is the high pressure vapor line to your regulator. "That" fitting should be no more than a tee.  Or am I missing something here?

yes that fitting is in the high pressure line to the regulator. It's is a 1and20 connector that allows the use of regulated things like grills camp fires and so on via a hose. The fitting has a check valve in it.

I would shut off your propane valve, then take a wrench and remove that plug that is leaking.  The plug should be a typical right hand thread.  It will either have an o-ring that has broken or be a tapered thread.  If an o-ring just replace it with a same size from your o-ring kit.  If tapered thread then carefully clean off the old sealing goop and reapply teflon thread compound and install plug.
That is if you're comfortable working around propane fittings.

The plug is not leaking, the check valve in the hose connector is leaking. It is a schreader valve. Just need to find a tool deep enough to reach it.
