Wet Floor

We have a wet floor at the foot of the bed and in walk through bath 36' WTB, enough water the rubber backed bath rug seemed to be wicking the water up. No signs of shower leak at door or anywhere around shower

Has anyone experienced this or similar?

Disconnect from mains water and shut off all water faucets inside coach, listen for water pump cycling which would tell you that you have a pipe leak.
Shower plumbing probably in vanity behind shower in bedroom - check there
You need to narrow down
Are your tanks full or less than three quarters full which would rule them out.

If you have a microphor OEM toilet, check the pressure regulator in the feed line behind the toilet. I had 2 fail in 6 months and they'll drip water onto the floor behind the toilet. Woody.

Is the flange gasket good? Mine had leaked this summer and ended up tossing old toilet for new..multiple issues with it.
Only leaked when flushed. So the pump did not cycle. YUCK.
What about your sink trap? All the vibrations loosened mine up and made a mess.
Either way, you need to be a detective and find the source, not where it's going.
Simple stuff first, then complicated.

Yes, disconnect from city water hook up and run your water pump. If you have a leak in your water lines you will hear the pump running. Check your connections under sinks and behind the shower valve connections. You should be able to see the shower connections on the wall behind the shower valves. Probably in your closet. If you have a washer/dryer check behind it.

Almost certain it is your shower faucet. Check the vanity, there were plywood boards behind the doors in my coach.

Hot and cold water lines. my cold water line cracked at the connection to shower faucet.

Thanks everyone. Pump pressures up and stops as normal. I'll investigate more tomorrow in daylight. I don't see any access panels for shower valves. 1996 36' WTBI, corner shower is on curbside with corner make up mirror/cabinet in bedroom.

I forgot I also filled water tank today, and it sent water out overflow before I got water off and turned the valve under sink. We didn't notice wet carpet until after and don't know what came first, wet carpet from showering, plumbing being pressured up, or filling water tank.

SeeLevel II reporting fresh water is maintaining 100% 12hrs post fill/overflow out the underbelly overflow exit.

Look in the lower cabinet behind shower and left side for a panel with screws in it. Usually top shelf and a box shape removeable panel.

Thanks John and everyone. We found Plex pipe had spilt near the brass. Cut out section of pez and adding brass.

I always you a pressure regulator to 55lbs max. Is this too much for my old girl?

Also a good time after investigation to reseal around the shower pan and shower wall!

I use a 45 lb regulator. I leave it hooked up on the hose all the time and cap the end when not in use. You need to watch the pressure in some campgrounds.

I'll back it down! It's so strange though the pump didn't continue to run. Guess I should rent a good dehumidier and to dry subfloor?

The pump probably didn't have enough pressure to open the split.

Definitely turn on a fan to move a lot of air over the carpet. Drying needs to be thorough.

What are temperature and humidity where you are-- THAT will determine if you should use a dehumidifier or just use ambient air to dry it out.

Temps in 60s during day and humidity in low 40%.

Hopefully problem is solved. Left pump on and no water leaking, haven't had opportunity to shower in bus yet. Leak test passed muster.

Lines to shower valve had split, gray pex, cut out split section, replaced with brass.
Resealed around shower walls and shower door for good measure as I know it wasn't the problem.
Small epoxy repair at shower drain where there was a cracked fitting.

Hope to give it a real camping test this weekend!

I think your gray lines are polybutylene and not Pex.

I have used the pex to pex connectors and not had any leaks, however the polybutylene grey pipe is slightly smaller. In 2019 I discovered these and have more confidence now in repairs and upgrades. Now both ends are tight, grey polybutylene end and tan pex end. I also like that they can easily be taken apart with the inexpensive tool. I know there is another less expensive brand, by a few dollars, I trust the Sharkbite brand. As I do upgrades and repairs, I replace with pex whenever possible.
