New to us,  1999, U 295 40', no slide.  Bought MH of Texas, u know just down the street from, THE PLACE.  Good experience.

INSURANCE PROBLEM  Having trouble getting agreed value, or something similar,  NADA [the bible] to insurance says worth less than $20,000.  As most know a decent one will run plus, $50,000.  Ours with recent paint, interior clean, recent tires/battery's-70,000 mi. Took a Little more.
Any one with similar problem, or a reasonable solution, would appreciate your council.

Do a  search in this forum under insurance. You will see that you have identified one of the major issues of owning these older coaches and (eventually) putting a lot of money in them. My insurance is State Farm and its at fair market value, adjusted for condition. I have a coming project to do the same thing and find agreed-upon value insurance.

I'm sure you'll get responses with some leads  here also.

Welcome to the Forum!  If there is an answer to your question, then this is a good place to find it.  We have numerous TX members.

We are in Texas (Midland) and have our coach policy with Progressive through USAA.  Our policy coverage, in the event of total loss, is based on actual cash value.  They presently list the value as $30,000 but I don't know where that figure comes from.  It happens to be exactly what we paid for our coach in 2013.  Since initial purchase, we have made some fairly expensive improvements to the interior plus added a decent PV system.  We have about $70,000 in the coach at this point.

I am OK with self insuring the difference between ACV and our total cash outlay.  I carry insurance primarily for the liability protection.  I don't know if Progressive will write a "agreed value" policy, but it wouldn't cost you anything to find out.  They have a tool on their website that will work up a quotation.  All you do is enter the variables.  It may answer your question about agreed value coverage.

I recently ran a quote through the Progressive online tool.  They have an option for Agreed Value.  Their initial estimated value for my coach was $46k and they allow you to increase it up to 125% of that, with no proof required.  They also will take the sales price as the value for up to 2 years after the sale.

We insure with AAA in California. They looked as what we paid for it and insured it for that. They did do an inspection and document the upgrades. We also did our out of state transfer and DMV registration with them so all the paperwork was done at the same visit.

OP is specifically asking about coverage options in Texas.  Insurance plans/cost can vary greatly from one state to another.

I live in Texas and use Progressive thru USAA.
Recently got a quote from Safeco and they were significantly higher. But either would be good.
If you want full coverage on a older coach expect to have some hurdles. You might not get exactly what you wanted, but you might get what you are comfortable with.

Congratulations  & Welcome to the Forum.
I went through that hoopla myself. You may try Ashley (817-889-4146) She switched me to Mercury recently. I am happy with it. She is not my sister but she and her late brother have been taking care of us for about 20 years now, here in TX with our insurance. They have saved our tail few times.

Progressive Agreed Value! The only way to go. Forget NADA, forget fair market value (whose market is that anyway) How much would you be out of pocket is a really good figure to use, how much would you have to spend to replace your coach is a really good figure to use.
You will pay 30/40 percent more for the coverage but if you have a disaster, there is no appraiser giving a valuation, you get the agreed value for the coach.
Progressive requires no paperwork for valuation as long as you are reasonable!

Mercury is great for the cars. Have had it for many years. But contacting USAA and having them set you up with Progressive saves 5% over just going with Progressive. $381/yr with a disappearing deductible is hard to beat for our 1993 U300. That is full coverage with $1000 deductible the first year, no deductible after four years.

For just cars, USAA was slightly more than Mercury. USAA may, that's may, provide red lined fire area homeowner's insurance also.
