Fresh water precharge accumulator

Precharged bottle in the coach fresh water system...the general description in my manual refers me to the component manufacturers publication regarding servicing....the pub is non-existent in my manual....help!!!!!!

Please modify your signature to reflect what coach you have.

But, assume you have an accumulator on your system.

If so, and it has a shredder valve  (common tire valve) here is what you need to do:

Shore water and water pump OFF.

Open a faucet to depressurize the water system.

Use a small screwdriver or equivalent to very quickly push the shredder valve.  If water comes out, STOP-- the diaphragm has failed and you need to replace the accumulator.

If no water, check PSI with regular tire pressure gauge.  Set it to CUT-IN PSI minus 2 PSI. For many older pumps, that is 25-2=23 PSI.

A bicycle pump or any air source is fine for setting proper PSI.

So, putting 25 psi in the tank with no demand is a good general pressure to start with? Any maintenance on this needed?
