Another tv renovation

Hi all, thought I would share our tv project.
Our 98 had a standard def tv over the drivers head which had been removed and a picture placed in the frame. We did not want anything mounted on the ceiling and did not want to put a 16x9 hi def tv over the old opening because of the width you end up with something smaller than the original...so what's the point of that. We ended up attaching a 36" (one we had already) with cordage from behind the valence, we just put it up when we get where we are going and it is set back enough to be out of the way.
Then I placed all the wires and connections into a switch box I installed under the valence.
Next came the old tv cabinet, I finished off the inside with cut panels with fabric spray glued over them, I elevated the front enough to put all the Bose components underneath.
After that we decided to use beveled mirrored doors similar to a few others in the coach. Dave Flanagan from FOT did a great job making the doors and top piece. We are very happy with how it turned out.

I would say about 1 minute to take the tv out of the closet and plug in all the connections right behind the tv. The plug set up was one of the better parts of the project.

I'm trying to see the project on my I phone and the photo of the tv attatached by a pole or something to overhead is turned sideways on my phone.. I'm missing how you get the tv to stand while in use.. I have my overhead tv cabinet covered with a smart tv that doesn't fit well and it straines my neck watching it up high..I have 2 sofas and won't give either up for a side wall mount.. Like you I don't want to drill into the ceiling. How is the tv stabelized.I get the part where you take it down to move I'm talking about stabelizing sitting still.

Hi Dub,
Thanks for the questions
Here are a couple more pictures of tv attachments and how it connects to the valence.
Theses TVs are so light it is really no trouble putting them up and down, when not in use I have a big laundry bag I put it in and rest it in the closet.
