Sensor II fresh water quit registering

Seelevel II 709-P3w model. Went to check all 5 functions, battery, fresh water, gray, black and Propane gas levels and fresh water had an error code and now shows zero when I know its at least 1/2 full. Any ideas where to start. Without a visual on the tank, I can't see mine, its covered up so I really need it. It was installed when I bought it. I know there is discussion on how to create a window somewhere, but I'd just as soon just have this working. I'll read the manual today

What kind of system do you have and what was the error code?  Is it the audit system of something after market?  It will help smarter people than me diagnose your problem.

The SeeLevel systems have a self-diagnostic capability.  Did you check the owner manual to try that?

The Sensor strips are very reliable and don't often fail.  If the adhesive fails and they come loose from the tank, that will cause erroneous readings.  You can reattach them with tape.

Wiring the sensors involves connecting a lot of small wires together.  It is important that all sensors have a good ground connection to the same ground point as the readout panel.  It could be that one or more wire connections has come loose.

Here is how I cut a access port to install my fresh water tank sensor strip:

I have the same system as you.  First I would re program each tank setting, per following manual.  I would check that you have proper 12v source and proper ground to system and each strip.  Are you getting "0", no matter what tank level you are checking?

When changing settings you need to re program how many monitor strips on each tank, each tank is set individually. See following  manual.

Thanks all. I did read the manual and then before resetting anything, filled the tank. Apparently it doesn't register water lower than 35% .  The tech that installed the strip, should have used two for the proper length. Next winter project. Which is fine now that I know that.
Sorry for the false alarm.  however it forced me to read and look around. Found the sensor thru the port hole and the water tank. Bonus find. I didn't know there was a tv hookup in the main storage bay!!!
I'm learning and so far have no regrets in buying this MH.
