New Water Pump

I'm looking to replace the water pump and am considering the Flojet 03526-144A Triplex Diaphragm Automatic Water System Pump, 2.9 GPM 50 PSI.  Was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this pump or any other suggestions ?

I went with a 3.5 gallon and seems fine. Good shower off pump

I just recently installed the spare I bought last summer.
Shurflo # 4008-101-E65
Flows 3 gallons, very quiet, and a nice shower as well.
And since you might be draining your tank first to replace the pump, you might want to install, 2 Sharkbite shut off valves.
My pump failed as I went to bed, but was a simple replacement Sunday morning.  And with shut off valves, it was so simple without draining almost 100 gallons.

Mark, i have a 320.  Pump failed.  Mr Risch was going to install an alternative but went back to original with accumulator.  I recall that my plumbing would have given inconsistent shower with out accumulator.

Mark, my accumulator tank failed, yours may be as well soon.

I got a new accumulator tank, took almost 2 months to get the right one and it cost almost 1/2 the price of an entire new pump and accumulator tank assembly.

It is not all that hard to change out the accumulator tank but I am into my fourth day of chasing a very small but real leak. I have to remove the assembly now (4th time) and bench test it.  I think one of the swivel fittingS on the pump is leaking but you can't see that with it installed in the coach.  I ordered the fittings and clips.  I should have just ordered the whole thing.

On previous coachs, I have had water pumps that were just "Demand Pumps" and never had an issue.  Is there a reason not to use a good high quality pump without an accumulator ?

A variable speed demand pump with no accumulator might be nice, I don't know.  I don't have one.  With an accumulator tank that works correctly the pump is on intermittently even if a faucet is on full. It might run continuously if more thanone are on at the same time (shower and kitchen sink).  Our last RV did not have an accumulator tank or variable speed pump.  If the water was on the pump ran.  We have a well and pump at home and a much bigger accumulator tank.  It reduces the load on the pump and extends its life considerably.

I just repeat what I said....Risch was going to install the demand.  The plan when I left it with him.
  When I picked it up he had changed.....may have been just was cheaper to replace the bladder?  I pretty sure he liked this over the on demand pump but I really just go with what he says and do not fret over it as Maybe I should!  He always watches out for our costs, etc.  maybe I will remember to ask when see him tomorrow.
