You were right. Taking it to a cat place now. Hope they know how to do the no removal seal truck, otherwise 1.5k.

Before doing anything, I would ask the service manager or shop foreman if they have an "old timer" familiar with the 3208 injection pump seal replacement.

You do NOT want them to learn on your coach.  Also, depending on where you are, there are a lot of 3208's in boats.

I had a Dodge van that color. It didnt grow on me. It is uniquely colored.

Carpet has vacuum  marks due to shampooing and going every way that is not a pattern. Looks like ceiling vinyl has dropped a bit but other than that looks in good shape. If border wasn't closed I would be interested if mechanical is good etc

I bet Cat won't do nothing but pull it. You will be better to take it to an independent small truck shop.  If you are a tinkering kind of guy you can DIY it.

Cat is going to pull it. They say it can't be done when I mentioned it. They were awesome guys super helpful. They said they had somebody in particular who's good at 3208s, so maybe he'll try something else.

Well, the seller is paying for it..

I like that while cat is in the engine, I can have the generator/tach fixed, random filters checked/replaced.

Any recommendations for preventative maintenance while the engine has better access?
