When I learned my ACs were the 13.5kbtu size I was disappointed and thought why the heck not put in the larger units. When my front AC went out I almost put in a 15kbtu.

Boy I am glad I did not do that! We often stay at state parks and other government owned facilities that only have 30 amp service. I can safely run both 13.5 units on 30 amp  service. Had I swapped to a 15  size, I would be short on Capacity!

I replaced our front AC with the Atwood about 4 years ago. It seems quieter inside and works well. However, I would prefer a wall mounted t-stat over the unit mounted digital control board with remote. Guess I'm just "old school" but longevity and dependability is important to me, IMO the old style wall mounted t-stat has less to go wrong than a digital control board with touch pad buttons.

I prefer switches and knobs that I can use a VOM on 😎
