Ride height valve ??

When we had our coach 99 U270 at MOT I complained about a noise in the front of the coach that is a two tone sound more like a donkey neighing.
The noise comes when there is a height change in the coach, we were able to duplicate it at 5 mph in MOT's service yard driving over the dip where there was a drain.
Our coach levels perfectly when driven and the ride is perfect, just hear this strange sound when the height changes.
There is no sound other than air when the HWH leveling is operated. It is only heard when driving.
Should I be looking at my front ride height valve?
What should I be looking for visually as far as knowing if it is damaged, I have read about mud dinners, silencers, rubber rotting etc on other posts
Is it a question of replacing the valve?
Any help would be great.

Ride height valve is pretty simple.  Air supply in at the top.  Control air out the sides to the air bags.  Exhaust out the bottom.  Some are made of metal - some are made of plastic.  They all work the same.

IF the height control valve is making the noise, it would most likely be coming from the exhaust port.  Not sure what you could do to silence it.  The rubber cap on the bottom, with a felt disc inside, is supposed to act somewhat like a muffler.  Not sure how effective it is.  If your rubber cap is missing, you might try replacing it.

Ours oinks also. We just took a piece of rubber hose about 12" long.  Pressed it over the exhaust on the ride height valve and then pushed Stainless Steel wool up into the hose. Make sure that you don't pack it in tight, it need to be able to breath so the valve can do it's job.  With this muffler all is good.

Irish,
I think the normal sound (never heard it driving my coach) would be an air exhaust sound. I wonder if the rubber cap is vibrating like a voice box during venting?
If your valve still has that cap maybe you could remove it to see if the annoying sound goes away.
