There is one mounting bolt on each side of the toilet and they are exactly 8" from the cabinet wall. Your toilet will not fit. What model Microphor toilet do you have? Our LF-220 had two mounting bolts on each side. Have you actually measured the distance from the wall to the drain hole? Quote Selected

In the specifications below, you will see that the bolt distance is actually 7.5" from the back of the toilet and has two bolts.https://mullaney-associates.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/24323-Manual-for-DC-OPERATED-MODELS-LF220-229-320.pdfThat's very interesting! Does your LF-229 have the remote flush assembly? Quote Selected
Re: Microphor replacement? Reply #25 – August 12, 2020, 08:56:57 pm I believe the original was the lf229. The PO put in the Sealand Quote Selected
Re: Microphor replacement? Reply #26 – August 12, 2020, 09:04:25 pm Yes. We do not like having an electric toilet; much more complicated than it needs to be. I don't want to spend more time replacing parts on a 21 year old unit. Quote Selected

I hope you can find a suitable replacement that is correct for your unusual circumstances. Quote Selected

It is the same one that came from the factory on my brother's '05 Monaco other than mine has the lever and his has the remote button. At least being Dometic parts would be cheaper if I ever need them. Quote Selected

Does your LF-229 have the remote flush assembly?Yes.In doing some research I'm finding that a "gravity drop" toilet (basic ball valve without macerator) might be a problem with my layout. Though I prefer the basic lever operated unit, I haven't written off the electric which is why I'm looking at the Tecma. I'm afraid it might be as expensive as the one in the space shuttle. Re: Microphor replacement? Reply #32 – August 13, 2020, 11:56:01 am Sven, here are the photos I promised. I installed a Dometic 320 which is also an ADA unit for taller height when you get older. lolFirst photo; back of commode to the wall, #2 to the back of the cabinet door and it still opens, #3 the floor plate I was referring too. Gives the install a finish look. #4 another shot of the clearance. Hope this helps! Quote Selected
Re: Microphor replacement? Reply #33 – August 13, 2020, 12:56:46 pm I too have installed the Dometic 320, with the baseplate mentioned and shown below. I would not install the 320 without the baseplate. It makes installing simple and stable. No regrets on the 320. The experience has been that of a worthwhile upgrade.Dometic Sealand 385311719 White 310 Mounting Adapter Kit - Boat and RV... Quote Selected

Re: Microphor replacement? Reply #35 – August 17, 2020, 12:41:45 am Sven I to have a 36 foot coach and believe has the same toilet. Positioned diagonally kinda in a corner between shower and sink. So far I have had good service for the month I've owned the coach but that being said the P.O. had two timers for it. I agree with you too many moving parts. I've been following your post hoping you come up with a solution. The 40 foot coaches have a different toilet I think. Mine is very space limited to the side. My neighbors 2002 295 36 has a real nice manual fill and dump toilet. It works very good. I hope you come up with a solution. It's on the back burner for me for now, but I'm 100% sure failure is inevitable. I'll measure mine tomorrow to see if it's the same.Scott Quote Selected
Re: Microphor replacement? Reply #36 – August 18, 2020, 11:38:46 am Scott, the best solution I've seen is in the Beamalarm tech pages ("toilet") which I may go to when I have issues again. It requires a 5" raised platform and a 45 degree flange to accommodate the required clearance. Providing more information for the flange would have been helpful. I did the required repairs and it works for now, but still loses water. Quote Selected
Re: Microphor replacement? Reply #37 – August 18, 2020, 11:54:59 am Although a bigger dirtier job, wonder if the pipe below could be replaced to incorporate the needed offset? I'll keep for reference, I'm sure my day will come, but I'll pull the plug on it early. More pressing issues now like reinstall dinette. Long listScott Quote Selected
