trim screws

Anyone have a good lead on where to find the white screws which hold the outside trim pieces on? It appears to be #8 x 1" white oval head screws. Can't find  them in white either on google or local distributor.

Larry,

Just by the correct SS screws.  Clean in acetone or other good degreaser.

Stick them, point down in a piece of corrugated cardboard so they stand up.

Spray the heads with white paint.

This is exactly what I did.

And the first time you torque the screws in tight with your Phillips screwdriver you will "pop" the paint off.

I glass beaded the screws before I painted the heads and that seems to work good without paint popping off

Ya, I did not have a problem with paint popping off either.  But waited a week for the paint to completely dry.

And, if by chance you need to touch up a screw head, a hole punch in blue painter's tape makes a pretty good hole the size of the screw head so that you can mask off and shoot a final bit of paint.

BUT, if anyone finds the white SS screws, please do post here!

I like the stainless look and left them as they came out of the box. An added advantage is that if you want to remove the trim piece, it's fast and without worrying about the bit not going all the way into the recesses.

I found some a while back at my local ACE Hardware. Sold individually.
Not sure they were stainless though.

Many of these screw into wood.  May want to replace with fatter and or longer so they will hold.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. i'll get some on order. I like the SS ones. They will replace some of the rusted ones from a previous owner. 
Now to do a search in the forum for best thing to use in sealing the trim. Several spots have lost their sealant.

Local wholesaler says he he can get these screws..... BUT.... He has to order them in lots of TEN THOUSAND, so if anyone needs that many, let me know and I'll pass his name along.

Gary, maybe some of the members who own multiple FT's. I have a lot in the coach, but i don't think there are that many.

Try white epoxy appliance paint.  Pretty close to gel coat color.  Let dry for several days.  Or still in the cardboard put them in a 150° oven for several hours
