Why do you want to remove the throttle pedal?  In my "What if" file i have a plan outlined if the throttle cable and air cylinder come a crapper.

I have an air leak coming from around the throttle pedal.  I can't tell exactly where, but I can feel it around the boot.  I need to check from under the coach and see what (if anything) is going on with air connectors.  From what I can determine, there doesn't seem to be a way for air to get into the cab from a leaky fitting, but I need to confirm that.  Have a great day  ----  Fritz

I predict that you will find the leak is in the valve itself - not from the air line connectors below the floor.

The symptoms you describe exactly match those I reported in my thread linked up above.

Known as a treadle valve and does have a history of leaking on vehicles.

It was not the treadle valve (which is the brake control valve), it was the throttle control valve (accelerator valve).  I replaced it with a new valve obtained from "brake systems inc" jn Portland Ore.  On my rig, the valve would not come out into the cab because the air hoses were too short.  When I put it all back in, I added an extension onto the hoses so that it would pull up into the cab if I ever needed to do it again.  Have a great day  ----  Fritz

It is still referred as a treadle valve even though it if for throttle.

Could well be  -----  My air diagram calls the brake a treadle valve and the accelerator valve a throttle control valve.  It only matters if you are getting a replacement valve to be sure that you are asking for the right one.  Have a great day ----  Fritz
