Shepard M100 leaking from top plate

Hi everyone, I've been reading several posts about Redhead steering boxes, sector shaft seal replacements etc. I can't seem to find one on my issue, which according to Redhead is a top plate seal.

I did see one comment, in which someone had the same issue and was able to clean the seal which stopped the leak. Nor do I see a parts breakdown for the end cap.

Will I be able to remove the 8 bolts and just replace the seal?

Danny at Redhead mentioned something about being one tooth off when installing the plate?

JR,

Yes,  You can remove that plastic cover and see the seal.  If it is just the seal (that is what it looks like in the video) they are about $5.

I'm not aware of such a restriction on the forum, especially since you're not a new member.  Was it an error message when posting or when sending a PM?  I want to look into it.

I have had that message in the past also. Just thought is was to keep too much from being sent to messaging.
