Entry step Question

I am wondering if there is a way to close the bottom entry step without being in the coach with the engine running

If I understand your question, yes, you can do a cheap modification that will cause the step to close when you shut the door with the engine off. There are a number of threads with instructions and photos.

From the factory the step is set up to automatically close when the door is closed and engine or ignition is on.  But if you don't close the door securely the step might not close.  There is a magnetic proximity switch in the lower door frame near the hinges that activates the step.
