no Basement heat '02 230.

Had the Aquahot serviced and  replaced several pumps..  Heat all zones except it seems to not have any heat in basement [heat exchanger in water manifold bay] hoses are cool to the touch,
I have turned the water manifold bay snap disc up to 40 degs.. currently 30 degs outside and dropping..
Is there a shutoff in the AH bay or might it be something else??
Down to 20 degs tonight
ANY Ideas???

add a small heater from Walmart in bay - the smallest space heater they make-

they usually have something like this 250 watt job in stock

Soleil Electric Personal Ceramic Mini Heater 250W Indoor Wood MH-08S -...

they sometimes have a 1500W heater in stock with a thermostat

or Tractor Supply or other farm store usually has a plug that goes in the 110V outlet that has a 40 degree or 34 degree thermostat to turn off and on a small heater

hope it all works out - even the old incandescent bulb in a pinch trick will help

Could be:
That zone is air locked if it didn't get purged completely after the replacement of the zone pump.
The check valve at the zone pump is stuck closed. A gentle tap with a hammer may pop the flapper loose.
If your unit has 3 relays (depends on which unit you have) that control the zone pumps the center one may be loose.
Do you have heat in the bathroom when that thermostat is on?
Are the fans in the basement radiators running when you turn down the basement thermostat?

Have you tried tapping the zone valve for the BA/bay?  Sometimes they stick closed.  (this was actually the first issue we ever had with our '03, way back in '04.  Triana advised (as some members call it) "percussive encouragement" on the zone valve, and it solved the problem.
