There is a history of bladders aging-out around the 7-10 year mark. Dan Weaver posted about it a couple of years ago. If both were the same age, this would be in line with that observation.
When our BR one failed at the 8 year mark, we had both replaced at the same time. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it if there were other reasons a slide bladder failed, but if one fails and they both are in that 7-10 (or greater) age range, it's just a matter of time before the other one goes. Just like tires, etc., they are made of rubber and age out.
