slide bladder air line fix??

Hello there,
I am in need of some help with a ruptured air line. I have been having intermittent slide extend and retract problems.  While crawling around under the coach yesterday i found the problem, I think. The line that runs from the slide manifold to the bladder enters the coach on the underside of the drivers wheel well.  The hose is leaking where it enters the coach. There appears to be no protection for the hose against the steel.

Have any of you changed that hose? I don't know where it connects to the bladder as it appears to be all covered. And there does not appear to be any slack in the line which would make a good repair easier There must be a trick to replacing it.

Or short of replacing the hose and ideas on a repair procedure. Hoping that i am not the first guy to have this happen.
BTW It is on a 2004 U270  with one slide.

David. The line goes into the bladder on my coach right at the position you describe . If the line is leaking you would have a continuous run to the control valve in the lower bay. If it's beyond the line it's the bladder. Mine line was actually damaged in the bay and I replaced. Used a plumbing tube splice to attach new tube to old and pull thru. Our coaches are completely different, but I think it would be a similar procedure. Hope its not the bladder

Thanks for your reply Scott. The leak is in the hose where it enters the coach in the wheel well. I need to determine where the supply hose connects to the bladder. If i can disconnect it I should be able to replace the hose.

Have any of you fellows replaced that short rubber line?  A regular 1/4" airline runs from the bladder manifold  and inside the wheel well it is connected to the short (leaking) rubber line that goes to the bladder. 

Or another option would be to repair the break in the rubber hose without removing it. Either the inside diameter or the  outside diameter of  or both.

Am I correct in thinking that this line pressure is approximately 12 lbs?

So i believe the hose you are describing is the nipple on the bladder itself. If you can cut off the damaged area and clamp on good section that would work. Try to get a photo and display were the leak is. Yes you may be able to put a hose over the outside if there is room to accommodate.
Yes like 12-15 psi and NO higher. It has the value in the HWH book as i recall

Scott thats the kind of info I need. I was thinking the bladder connected to the rubber line but indeed it may be that the nipple is part of the bladder. IF anyone has seen a bladder inlet (nipple)  please let me know how it is designed OK
There is no slack in the line (nipple) and the rupture is right flush with the metal coach body.  So it appears the coach sheet metal cut into the line over the last 17 years it finally blew out.  Will send a pic asap.

Hope you can repair it and add some abrasion prevention.  This is another thing for many to follow up on and check for abrasion. add some corrugated plastic protection if you can.
