Rebuild 12 volt Thomas air compressor

On my 2005 U270, my 12 volt Thomas air compressor is failing.  It just can't reach the rpm's it used to. How complicated is rebuilding this compressor? Does anyone have a recommendation on a shop I can send it to? It sounds like I have the  "BIG" compressor.
Thank you

Is it a Thomas TA-4101-DC?

This is Steve's writeup that was on the forum  HWH Pump Rebuild

Here are a couple of sources, please double check applicability before purchase.  ZORO usually has them at a good price, do some shopping but mid $300s seems common.

12VDC 1/3hp Thomas Compressor TA-4101/GH/LGH Minor Service/Rebuild KIT...

Here is a new compressor.

This compressor is getting used by some as a replacement, not much more than a rebuild kit.
