HWH won't go into travel mode

Brought slide in today to travel and HWH wouldn't complete its cycle for bringing slide in.  Looked at HWH modules and it showed top front slide pin not locked.  Looked at slide and pin was locked in like it was supposed to be.  Took header cover off to get to top slide pins (pain in butt) and checked continuity of magnetic reed switch and it was good, no continuity without magnet and continuity with magnet near reed switch.  Checked for 12 volts at reed switch and it was good.  Checked wire going into plug on module and it had 12 volts and checked pin coming out of module to make sure it wasn't bent. Pin was good.  So it should be showing slide pin engaged, but it isn't.  Only thing I can think of is the the board is bad.  Tried to put HWH in travel mode with and without using override and it would never say that is in travel mode.  Tried to put it in gear with and without HWH in override and it would go into gear.  So several questions:
1. Even though it doesn't show travel mode it seems to be a travel height.  Is it OK to travel to get back home?
2. IF it is OK to travel how can I turn off the warning chime, so I doesn't drive me crazy by the time I get there?
3. Do you have any ideal of what may be wrong that it doesn't show top front slide pin engaged even though it is?
4. I thought transmission wouldn't engage if not in travel mode unless you used the override switch yet my coach went into drive with override on or off.  Is my understanding of the override correct or is something wrong with HWH and override?

You can pop the cover off the dash instrument panel and find the dinger.  Unplug it and the chime will no longer bother you.  I have installed a switch on the instrument panel to turn it off when I need to without opening the dash.

If the transmission will go into gear and it is at travel height, I would feel comfortable driving it.  My front ride height control valve has the dust cover removed and I can here the valve operating at low speeds.  You might see if yours does the same.

The reed switch is very sensitive and may just be out of alignment or it may be bad.  I've had two replaced in the last 7 years, one just last week.

I currently have only 3 operating lock pins and HWH had no problem sending me off down the road in that condition so if yours are all extended, I would think no problem.

Suggest you can contact FOT, MOT or HWH in the morning for any further guidance.  As a Motorcade member, you get free technical support from FOT.  HWH is excellent and free but may take awhile to respond.  They put you in the queue.

I thought in the beginning that it was the reed switch as I have had one go bad before.  However, after taking the header down, I was able the test the reed switch and verify that it is working correctly.  I also have 12 volts on wire that goes to pin 9 on CN 12 which means it is getting power through the reed switch to the control module, but the module isn't seeing it.  I even tried to run a jumper 12 volts to wire that goes to pin 9 and it still didn't show on board.  That is why I think something is wrong on control board.  Maybe a solder connection from pin to circuit on control board?
Will try to find and disconnect chime tomorrow and try to get someone from HWH or MOT.

How did you get rig to operate with only three working lock pins?

All 4 pin mechanisms are operating but one does not have what I call the receiver block.  So the pin goes in and out but doesn't actually hold the room in position.  I had to remove the receiver block because the pin missed the block hole and bent the mounts.  I have some straightening and alignment to do when the weather gets warmer.  Cause was a leaking sync cylinder.

I'm not surprised call back times are long.  We were at HWH last Tues/Weds.  They are very hard hit by the Coronavirus.  Positivity rates for the virus in IA were at 50% although they are now down slightly.

We were the only customers in service - had the waiting room to ourselves for two days which was good for the isolation.  Made the appointment in early Nov.  They were so short on people, I had a supervisor and an engineer doing the troubleshooting and repairs on the coach.  They had only accepted one other repair job for the week - an Active Air installation.

Currently, we are home in Ohio and following guidelines to quarantine for 2 weeks because of our time in IA.
