Tachometer still up after engine off?

So I have a curious question, why is my tachometer still reading almost 700 10 minutes after I turned the engine off?
This is the second time I have noticed this, there does not seem to be any consistency to it.
Your input welcomed.

I believe that's normal...... If you want it to read 0, turn the ignition key on and turn it back off.

^.^d Thanks guys, that did it but I'm left wondering why does it do that?
Is it intended to tell me something and I don't get it yet?
Seems like almost everything on these beautiful coaches is designed to tell me something, so what is this for?

P.S. Thanks to all who have come before me and left so much great information to work my way through, most of my questions/searches so far have yielded enormous amounts of data to read and absorb, most of which has been very helpful.
