Fuel Lines (yes again, sorry)

I am about to change all the fuel lines. I have a 98 U270 36ft.

Can someone please give me a quick bill of material for the hoses for a 36'?

Length's?
Sizes?

Thanks

Thanks Michelle
I did see most of those threads. I was curious if anyone had the exact cut lengths they used on a 36' in case I can find a place locally that would sell me the hose by the foot.

I recommend that you buy some extra.  You might choose (or be forced) to route the hose differently.

Three examples from my experience:

I decided to add a fuel cooler, which required several additional feet of hose to install.

I could not get the old generator supply or return hoses to budge, nor could I add a hose through the existing hose and wire channel.  I had to reroute the new hoses through protective conduit outside of the channel, which added a couple of feet of length.

The route where the hose originally attached to the engine left the hose exposed to debris.  I rerouted it in a more protected route, which added several feet of length.

I bought mine from these folks I think you will find irs cheaper to buy a 50' roll rather than cuts. I'm not sure but I think the feed on your 8.3 is 1/2" return and generator are 3/8. I did reuse my old push lock fittings just be careful not to scratch them when removing. Trident doesn't recommend using them but mine have been good for 5 years now no issues. No hose clamps!!! Be sure what your line sizes are.  On my 8.3 supply is 5/8.

Foretravel replaced my lines on a 36' 98 U270 this spring. They billed me for the following:

50' HTFL -6B-B 3/8"
50' HTFL -8B-B 1/2"
50' HTFL -10B-B 5/8"

Hope that helps.

After watching ours getting done at Infinity I'm really glad we just wrote a check for that job.
Not a technically challenging job but those guys were filthy and worn out at the end of the day.
Not afraid of a challenge but honestly what they did in a day would have taken me 2-3.

I have used pushlock without clamps in motorsports, and unfortunately had one fail last summer.  It was a connection after the fuel pump and thankfully all it did was drain my fuel cell, not burn my car down.  I would highly recommender single use clamps, like these, for any pushlock fittings for peace of mind.

Yes that helps but Mike and I both are coming up with 5/16" lines for the engine return. Anyone seen this before?

Two days of clothing I didn't bother to wash.  I just threw them in the trash.  Shower was with a scrub brush and lots of soap.

There is a story around here about a shop installing the wrong type of hose, and the whole coach came to reek of diesel fuel.

The problem with clamps on barrier hoses, and push lock fittings, the clamp causes to fitting to cut through the barrier. After 5 years no diesel smell anywhere. As always DWMYFG. 😎
